Applied Legal Education
The course materials are developed in response to emerging legal knowledge needs of our society. The course and law clinic activities are designed to teach our students the fundamentals of how legal abstraction translates into legal practice. Our clinical legal education is an integral component of our law clinic program. It consists of simulated legal practices such as Moot Court, Mock Trial, Case Handling, Case Discussions, Case Analysis and Legal policy discussions. The simulations are designed to imitate real life scenarios and cases with significant education value. Simulations are carefully prepared through a collaborative and participatory team effort. All simulations are the result of carefully and deliberately designed scenarios that takes the various dimensions of legal issues into account: they include but are not limited to gender issues, domestic violence against women, violent and discriminatory social norms, state law, international human rights law, customary law and Sharia law.
